Pigeon transparency report

About Pigeon

Pigeon is a messenger for talking freely. What you say is sealed on your device and opened only by the people you send it to.

Pigeon never asks for your phone number, your email address or your name. Messages are end-to-end encrypted, in one-to-one chats and in groups, and the servers that carry them can't read them or tell who sent them. That is why the answers on this site are short.

Pigeon is in private alpha: invite-only, not finished, and not yet independently audited. Find out more at pigeonmessage.io, including what we can and can't see and how to report a security problem.

Why “Droppings”

Pigeons are known for what they leave behind. This is what Pigeon has been made to leave behind: the data handed over under legal process. We hope it stays small, and the design is built to keep it that way. The jokes stop at the name and the headings; the facts, dates and numbers are exact.

This site

No analytics, no trackers, no cookies, no scripts, and nothing loaded from anyone else. We don't learn who reads which entry. Our hosting provider sees visitors' IP addresses, as any host does; the site is set up to keep no request logs.

Everything published here is also published as data, with its SHA-256. Questions about this site: security@pigeonmessage.io. Legal process goes only to the address in our law enforcement guidelines.
